Punta Campanella is an extraordinary place that captures the pure essence of both the Amalfi Coast and the Sorrento Peninsula. This promontory, marking the end of our stunning coastline, offers spectacular views across the two gulfs of Salerno and Naples, with Vesuvius, Capri, Ischia, and the Li Galli Islands standing on the horizon. The landscape, surrounded by crystal-clear waters and protected as a Marine Protected Area, is truly a feast for the eyes and senses.

Although it is a bit far from the heart of Amalfi, I have a deep connection to this part of the Land of the Sirens. Here, the Greek myth of the Sirens and Minerva seems to whisper among the vertical cliffs that plunge into the sea. The watchtower, towering over the promontory, tells stories of ancient wars, bearing witness to the intense history that has shaped this legendary land.

The itinerary begins in the village of Termini, in Massa Lubrense, where we’ll immediately start climbing towards the summit of Mount San Costanzo. From here, the view is spectacular, with a panorama encompassing the Ieranto Bay and the entire Amalfi Coast.

Continuing along the rocky ridge, the path will lead us towards the sea, with a stretch of promontory overlooking the deep blue waters. Upon reaching the tower, I’ll invite you to pause and absorb the powerful energy of this magical place. From here, we’ll begin our return journey, climbing back up to Termini and enjoying new breathtaking views.

This tour is a loop and requires a good level of physical preparation. The trail is rocky and uneven, ascending and descending on slippery and steep terrain, making it suitable for experienced hikers. It is not recommended for those with vertigo or mobility issues.

Upon request, the path can be adjusted to remove the most difficult sections, or a simpler and more direct route can be taken both ways without compromising the beauty of the landscape.

During the summer months, I recommend booking the tour in the cooler hours, at sunset. The magical atmosphere and sky colors will make the landscape even more unforgettable.
